Intercoastal Pirates
Hey everyone! I don't know if you have or have not heard my daddy-o sing in his band, but if you go to their blog you can look at some videos. He wrote 2 of the songs, and he wrote one for my mom for their 25th anniversary which was awesome. Isn't he cool? Here is the song he wrote for Mom:
And here he is jammin' to Stevie Ray:
Here is one of me and my dad singing together:
JD if you move down here we can all go watch him play together! He always plays at these outdoor places where you just bring lawn chairs and watch. Its a pretty good time!
I have such a hip dad.

Let me just say....
1) Don't ever argue with my husband in front of the rest of his immediate family about the due date of HIS child. Trust me if you think the due date is different than what he is saying...you are probably WRONG...so can it. My husband would know better than you.
2) We realize how hard the first couple of months are going to be after this child is born. We realize the trouble that the new parents in the rest of our family are currently having and have previously had. You DO NOT have to constantly remind us. We know. You don't have to tell us. We were not born yesterday. We know raising a baby is very difficult. Seriously. Shut your pie hole.
3) Do not tell us we are having a girl again. Do you have X-Ray vision, Superman? Did you personally speak with God and did he tell you what we were having? If I hear it one more time I just might rip someone's head off with my bare hands only after stabbing them with the closest blunt object. I don't care what it is...the edge of a book, a torn in half water bottle, my dog's toenails...you will feel my wrath.
4) If we make comments on how we would LIKE to raise our future child, do not make a comment about how different it is when you finally have a child. Don't go into Grandma mode and start making excuses for the misbehavings our child has yet to do. If our child is 4 years old and crying in a restaurant like a little brat, Bryan or I will take them out to the car and spank their butt. End of story. Don't tell us, "Well you can't just pull your kid out of every public place when they act bad." "You'll see...you'll see." There is another term I might rip a water bottle in half and stab someone because of. Really? Really, all knowing a powerful Grandma. Watch me.
5) Do not comment on the type of crib and baby monitor I should or should not get because "drop-side cribs are dangerous", and "don't even register for a crib bumper because they are too dangerous and cause SIDS" and "you should get this monitor because it has a mat the baby lays on that alarms you if the baby stops breathing." The crib we are getting is drop-side, the crib bumber is staying because its cute, and we got a video camera monitor - not a SIDS monitor. And if I hear a word about it...out comes the blunt water bottle.

So I was tagged by Kellianne...
....to say ten things about myself? So here it goes:
1. Now that I am starting to show I am really starting to feel closer to the little guy/girl in my tummy. I cannot wait to start feeling it move!
2. I still wish me and Bryan were moving to Colorado like we were trying to plan.
3. Damn - ice cream is the shiznit when you are pregnant.
4. And I want sweet tea SO f-ing bad all the time but really try to limit myself to a glass every couple of days. I would drink a whole gallon of Chick-Fil-A sweet tea if possible.
5. My other craving right now is peanut butter and raspberry jelly sandwiches with a big glass of milk.
6. I had a dream last night that I drank a whole stout margarita while I was pregnant and then starting having a miscarriage. Isn't that the shittiest dream you have ever heard? Oh yeah and since I have been pregnant - my dreams have been so vivid and WEIRD! I mean WEEEIIIRRD.
7. I want Taco Bell right now. I mean were all these questions supposed to be pregnancy/food related? Don't worry ladies I don't act on my hunger impulses all the time. But sharing them helps me overcome the temptation. Like last night I wanted oreos and milk so bad and so did Bryan which made it worse - but we never acted upon it and went to the store and bought them which is good. And on the way home from work today I wanted Jack in the Box but knew PB & J would be better so I simply DROVE by Jack in the Box (which is past my house) and dreamed of having a sourdough jack. But never actually got one. Is that weird?
8. I am starting to get really weird about the house - like today I just threw the dog bed out (and Bryan is going to be pissed), but I just felt like it was making the house "feel" dirty. What does that even mean? Do now Mally is sleeping on a fleece blanket.
9. I am back on a reading kick again and read two books in three days. AND I LOVE IT! Expect the book club blog to have some major entries lately.
10. I miss my friends so much and sometimes think about how many times I actually laughed till I cried when they all came for Kellianne's wedding. I miss them so much! Everything is always back to normal no matter how long it is since we saw each other. I love that. JD please tell Mitch to just get a job in H-town already!!!
